Heather Howerton brings over 32 years of banking experience, with the past decade dedicated to private mortgage banking. She began her career in 1993 as a mortgage loan processor and steadily rose into leadership positions. Throughout her career, Heather has received recognition for her outstanding contributions to both local and national mortgage and private banking.
A proud Oklahoman, Howerton graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University with a BS in Finance. She also holds a Master’s certification from the Institute of Mortgage Lending and recently earned an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies.
Howerton has served in significant leadership roles, including as President of the OKC Mortgage Bankers Association and the Oklahoma City chapter of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. She is currently a board director for Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO), which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020. In addition, Heather has volunteered with the Oklahoma Innocence Project and Bella SPCA.
Now in her 8th year with the bank, Heather was recently promoted to Vice President of Mortgage Lending. She balances her professional achievements with spending quality time with her 3-year-old daughter.

Bryan is very involved with his three young daughters and wife of 15 years. They are very active with their church, as well as with youth t-ball and soccer. They often spend the fall cheering on the University of Oklahoma on game day Saturdays in Norman.

First Liberty Bank welcomed Joe Thompson to the mortgage lending team in Oklahoma City as a mortgage loan officer in September 2020. In August 2021, Joe relocated to First Liberty Bank's Norman Branch to provide mortgage services to the Norman and South Oklahoma City communities. Having been raised there, Joe loves Norman and is excited to be back in the town where he grew up and went to high school. Joe serves in a variety of ways in the community. As an active affiliate member of the Norman Board of Realtors, he was awarded 2023's Affiliate of the Year award. He also serves the community by coaching youth sports, volunteering with local non-profits, and is a board member and Vice President of the Harrah Education Enrichment Foundation. Joe and his wife, Laila, have four amazing children; the animal-loving family has two dogs and three cats. His hobbies include camping, kayaking and fishing.
