Baird Harper is an experienced oil and gas commercial lender with over 12 years in the industry. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Energy Banking Division Manager. In this role, Baird has successfully grown the oil & gas portfolio into one of the largest portfolios in the bank since its inception in 2017. He focuses on financing both operated and non-operated working interest investors, royalty owners, and oil field service companies.
Prior to joining First Liberty Bank, Baird worked for five years as a commercial lender in the Energy Lending group at another local bank. His experience also includes positions at Kirkpatrick Oil Company and Chesapeake Energy.
Dedicated to the Oklahoma City community, he actively volunteers for various charities. He was previously a member of the Young Professionals Board for Infant Crisis Services, having served as Secretary in 2018 and Chair in 2019. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Young Professionals Board for Sunbeam Family Services and served for many years as a mentor for Positive Tomorrows.
Baird is actively involved in the local business community as a Greater OKC Chamber of Commerce member and currently serves as the Treasurer for the Downtown Club of Oklahoma City. He is also a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City's LOYAL Class X. In recognition of his contributions to the community, Baird was honored with the ion Oklahoma 30/30 NextGen award in September 2015 and received the Achievers Under 40 award from The Journal Record in 2022. Furthermore, he was recognized as the Top Commercial Lender at First Liberty Bank in both 2020, 2022, and 2023.
Baird earned an MBA with a focus on Energy and Finance from the University of Oklahoma and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Finance from Oklahoma State University. He also attended the Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, France, where he studied finance in the European Union.
