Ed Hosier brings over 25 years of management and mortgage experience to First Liberty Bank's Dallas/Ft. Worth branch. He is well-versed in various mortgage products, including Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA and has licenses in 29 states. As a result of his time in the mortgage industry, Ed has a thorough knowledge of Texas state mortgage practices and regulations.
Originally from Oklahoma, Ed attended Oklahoma State University and majored in Business Management. In his spare time, Ed plays golf, hunts and fishes. He has been married for 30 years and has one daughter who also boasts a degree from Oklahoma State University and is building a career in education. You'll catch Ed rooting for his Cowboys on fall weekends, both OSU and Dallas.

Heather Howerton brings the expertise and experience of a 30+ year banking career, having worked in private mortgage banking for the last decade. She began her career locally as a mortgage loan processor and worked her way into leadership positions. Heather has been recognized and honored for her outstanding work in local and national branch mortgage and private banking.
Howerton, a native Oklahoman, graduated from Oklahoma City University, has achieved Master's status from the Institute of Mortgage Lending, and recently completed an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies.
She has served as President of the OKC Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. Howerton currently serves as a Director on the Board of Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO), which celebrated its Centennial in 2020, and volunteers her time with the Oklahoma Innocence Project and Bella SPCA.

Karen Nizza brings 25 years of mortgage experience to First Liberty Bank's Dallas/Fort Worth branch. She has played many roles throughout those 25 years, having experience as an originator, processor, and in the mortgage loan closing process. Karen is also familiar with the First Liberty Bank mortgage team, having worked previously with Mortgage Sales Manager Ed Hosier and Mortgage Loan Officer Rose Martinez. Their integrity and work ethic are a big reason she chose to come to First Liberty Bank.
Outside of work, Karen spends time reading and caring for her dog and cat at home. Karen loves traveling to the ocean and spending time on the beach.
Although she comes from Louisiana, she claims her Texas Card, having lived in the great state for 35 years.

First Liberty Bank welcomed Joe Thompson to the First Liberty Mortgage Lending team in Oklahoma City as a mortgage loan officer in September 2020. Joe's first banking experience was over 19 years ago when he started on a switchboard directing calls. "Joe knows mortgage banking inside and out, and his experience will serve our First Liberty Bank clients well," said Joey Root, Bank President & CEO.
In August 2021, Joe relocated to First Liberty's Norman Branch to provide mortgage services to the Norman and South Oklahoma City communities. Having been raised there, Joe loves Norman and is excited to be back in the town where he grew up and went to high school.
Joe is involved in the community, serves as a volunteer with Sharing Tree, and is a board member and Vice President of the Harrah Education Enrichment Foundation.
Joe and his wife, Laila, have four amazing children, and the animal-loving family has three dogs and three cats. His hobbies include camping, kayaking, fishing, and swimming.
