Mike Cole spent over ten years of his career working in the oil and gas industry before transitioning to the mortgage industry as a Mortgage Loan Officer at First Liberty Bank in 2021. He brings strong negotiation and relationship-building skills to his new role. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Oklahoma and was a dean’s list recipient.
Mike volunteers with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and has assisted the United Way in various projects. An Edmond native, Mike has been an avid Sooner football fan spending Saturdays in the fall going to games for the past 30 years. He also enjoys bowling and golfing. Mike and his wife are expecting their first child in August 2022.
Brooke spent the first ten years of her career working in the Oil & Gas Industry before transitioning to the Mortgage Industry as a Mortgage Loan Officer. In her role at First Liberty Bank, she will be able to use her experience to assist new and existing clients with their Mortgage Lending needs. “Serving others is truly gratifying, and I am honored to be doing it as a part of the professionals at First Liberty,” said Brooke.
She was awarded First Liberty Bank's Top Mortgage Loan Officer Award for 2021.
She holds a NASM Certified Personal Trainer Certification and is passionate about helping others stay fit and healthy. She is also a member of the Greater OKC Chamber.
Heather Howerton brings the expertise and experience of a 30+ year banking career, having worked the last decade in private mortgage banking. She began her career locally as a mortgage loan processor and worked her way into leadership positions. Heather has been recognized and honored for her outstanding work in local and national branch mortgage and private banking.
Howerton, a native Oklahoman, is a graduate of Oklahoma City University, has achieved Masters status from the Institute of Mortgage Lending, and recently completed an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies.
She has served as President of the OKC Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. Howerton currently serves as a Director on the Board of Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO), which celebrated its Centennial in 2020, and volunteers her time with the Oklahoma Innocence Project and Bella SPCA.
Ao Nguyen began her career in finance, spending ten years working in retail and commercial banking. She came to First Liberty Bank in 2020 as a Mortgage Loan Funding Specialist and was quickly promoted to Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, she brings her passion for helping people to assist local borrowers find the home of their dreams.
Ao volunteers with the City Rescue Mission, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, and has supported and volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma. Originally from Vietnam, Ao speaks fluent Vietnamese. Raised in Oklahoma City, Ao enjoys bowling, playing tennis, hiking, and traveling.
First Liberty Bank welcomed Joe Thompson to the First Liberty Mortgage Lending team in Oklahoma City as a mortgage loan officer in September of 2020. Joe's first banking experience was over 19 years ago when he started on a switchboard directing calls. "Joe knows mortgage banking inside and out, and his experience will serve our First Liberty Bank clients well," said Joey Root, Bank President & CEO.
In August 2021, Joe relocated to First Liberty's Norman Branch to provide mortgage services to the Norman and South Oklahoma City communities. Having been raised there, Joe loves Norman and is excited to be back in the town where he grew up and went to high school.
Joe is involved in the community, serves as a volunteer with Sharing Tree, and is a board member and Vice President of the Harrah Education Enrichment Foundation.
Joe and his wife Laila have four amazing children, and the animal-loving family has three dogs and three cats. His hobbies include camping, kayaking, fishing, and swimming.
Bryan Pregler has been in the home mortgage industry for over ten years. He has worked in all market conditions and has helped the first-time home buyer realize the joy of homeownership and helped long-standing customers complete the purchase of their dream home.
He has enjoyed working in the Oklahoma City market for the last five years, bringing a customer-oriented experience that makes you want to be a customer for life.
Bryan is very involved with his three young daughters and wife of 15 years. They are very active with their church, as well as with youth t-ball and soccer. They often spend the fall cheering on the University of Oklahoma on game day Saturdays in Norman.
