Heather Howerton brings the expertise and experience of a 30+ year banking career, having worked in private mortgage banking for the last decade. She began her career locally as a mortgage loan processor and worked her way into leadership positions. Heather has been recognized and honored for her outstanding work in local and national branch mortgage and private banking.
Howerton, a native Oklahoman, graduated from Oklahoma City University, has achieved Master's status from the Institute of Mortgage Lending, and recently completed an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies.
She has served as President of the OKC Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. Howerton currently serves as a Director on the Board of Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO), which celebrated its Centennial in 2020, and volunteers her time with the Oklahoma Innocence Project and Bella SPCA.

First Liberty Bank welcomed Joe Thompson to the mortgage lending team in Oklahoma City as a mortgage loan officer in September 2020. In August 2021, Joe relocated to First Liberty Bank's Norman Branch to provide mortgage services to the Norman and South Oklahoma City communities. Having been raised there, Joe loves Norman and is excited to be back in the town where he grew up and went to high school. Joe and his wife, Laila, have four amazing children; the animal-loving family has two dogs and three cats. His hobbies include camping, kayaking and fishing.
